I am writing this letter to motivate why I am the best candidate for the above mentioned position. I obtained my Bcom Finance degree at University of Johannesburg, I am current enrolling for post graduate qualification with CFA South Africa for Investments Foundations Program. I currently hold a position as a Cashbook clerk position at Tsogo Sun - Montecasino. My qualification is accompanied by solid foundation in the financial environment which includes: • Order controller • Cash book clerk • Creditors clerk • Admin clerk • Fixed Assets Administration I will use my experience in order controlling to ensure that procurement policies are followed and adhered to at all times, I will work together with internal customers to ensure that orders are timely placed and ensure timely delivery by communicating with external suppliers duly. I will use my cash books & creditors clerk experience to ensure that debtors are raised accordingly into the books and to follow up on all monies owed to the company, and ensure they are payable as per terms of the contract. In keeping the smooth running of operations I will ensure that our creditors are timeously paid and follow up on any reconciling items on the recons to ensure that neither of our accounts gets blocked. Furthermore I will ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to as per audit requirement and properly followed amongst other things in Banking, OE counts, Food counts, stationery counts, consumables and procurement by regularly revisiting the processes and procedures with other departments. I understand that the position requires a person who pays attention to detail, systematical, familiar with company policies & procedures and who can adapt and work well under pressure. I am currently using ACCPAC for financial reporting, my understanding is processes and procedures are the same irrespective of what accounting package one uses, I am a fast learner and will easily learn the navigations of any other accounting system given an opportunity.
