Afrimat Limited, a leading black empowered open pit company, provides construction materials and industrial materials. The company operates through five key divisions: Mining and Aggregates, Concrete Products, Readymix, Industrial Minerals, and Contracting International. Afrimat has established a strong foothold in contracting services comprising mobile crushing, screening, drilling and blasting. Afrimat is able to service products of any scale from major infrastructure and construction projects for state-owned enterprises and parastatals through to small private sector contracts. Due to Afrimat’s consistently low staff turnover, they have a deep skills pool. A collection of small mines in the aggregate industry spread across the country. Most of the Board were owners of the original (Cape based) components of the Company. A "small mine" mind set still permeates the collective psyche.

A great company for individuals who want to achieve success through honest work. Excellent recognition of performance. No place for lazy passengers, but really caring about the career and development of each employee. One of the few successful young JSE listed companies.

"No Development"

A 'no go zone' for a black ambitious individual. They don't care about developing black people. You are just there to up their BEE credits. Full of promises, but always fail to deliver.
