High turnover, it's ok if you join their sales teams. Below market related wages, no opportunity for growth unless you are prepared to relocate to another country. Growing in Africa but not in South Africa. No benifits which is disappointing for an international company.

Allied Mobile as a company is doing well. It's in SA, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique and soon into a couple of countries in southern Africa and the rest of the continent. I have been there for over three years now to know the company's attitude towards ordinary employees like me. It pays well only to senior management, but very poor for ordinary employees. Taking one department for example, Operations, which has a high turnover to an extent that 1 employee leaves after an average of two months. In all departments the workload is quite high, because of the expansion drive, but the salaries remains very poor across all departments, to say the least. It's no use to work overtime since there generally is no overtime payment. After last year's salary reviews, the increments were on average of R400, I would not be surprised to see many employees leaving when a good opportunity comes along. It has now become a training ground where people come and after one year or so, leave to other companies.
Best companies to work for in the Telecommunications sector.
