The Ampath Pathology Laboratories, served as the brainchild of Drs du Buisson, Kramer, Swart, Bouwer Inc in 1996. It provides comprehensive support services to their incorporated pathology lab. Ampath strives to remain the leader in pathology by providing excellence in diagnostic services to cater to the needs and requirements of health care practitioners and their patients. A staff complement of 4500 maintains optimum functionality. Their extensive network of 150 laboratory facilities operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, to offer more than 200 different diagnostic analyses .Ampath is a member of the National Pathology Group and caters to clientele over a range of industries; these include:- medical practitioners, insurance, government, healthcare, industrial organisations and other pathology practices.
