Assmang Limited supply raw materials to the world's Steel mills and Alloy plants. The company’s major shareholders are Assore Limited and African Rainbow Minerals Limited (ARM). Under ARM is Ore & Metal Company Limited, operating as marketing, sales & shipping agents. Under Assore limited is African Mining and Trust Company, who are their Technical Advisors. Assmang obtained ISO 9002 accreditation in 1994 and became the first Southern Hemisphere miner to be audited and accredited for all its surface and underground operational functions. The company is divided into three independently operating commodities which are; Chrome, Manganese and Iron Ore. Assmang has mines in four Southern Africa provinces: N’Chwaning and Gloria Mine in Northern Cape Province, The Chrome Ores & Alloys in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine and the Machadodorp ferrochrome Works in Mpumalanga, and the Khumani Mine and the Beeshoek Mine, situated in the Northern Cape. I have worked for Assmang Cato from 2005 until 2012. I left when there was a package, because I wanted to be closer to my family at Witbank. This is the BEST company to work for, as they look after their employees. There is development, trainings, growth, benefits and best financial rewards. I am still wishing to be part of Assmang, if the chance arise .
