Barloworld Equipment

Barloworld Equipment, established in 1927, is the only dealer of CAT construction machines, related mining and building equipment and other power systems in southern Africa. The company also supply Rotary blast-hole drilling equipment from Atlas Copco, Metso Minerals Mobile Mining, Construction Crushing, Screening Plants, MAK and Perkins Diesel Engines. Besides South Africa, the company currently provides mining and construction equipment to other African countries including Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo's Katanga Province. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Barloworld Limited, an international brand distribution company which feature on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. In 2004 the company launched a machinery training program, becoming the first earthmoving equipment company to do so and to receive accreditation from the Construction Education and Training Authority allowing trainees to achieve a qualification that is recognised nationally.
