Cape Union Mart

Cape Union Mart was established in 1933 by Philip Krawitz, the grandfather of the current Chairman, and is one of South Africa’s oldest and leading outdoor lifestyle stores. It was originally founded as an “Army and Navy” store. However since its inception, where the store became famous for its selling of “everything from an anchor to a toothpick,” it has just grown stronger and more respectable and now currently stock various outdoor merchandise and accessories like technical outdoor clothing, footwear and gear including shell jackets, Thermalator fleece tops, ski jackets, GPSs, tents, hiking boots, backpacks, sleeping bags and much more. They stock well-known brands like K-way, CAT, Adidas, Crocs, Alva, Energizer, Falke, Garmin, Nikon, Tabard, TomTom, Wenger and more. They have a dominating national footprint with numerous stores in major metropolitan areas, shopping centres and smaller towns throughout the country as well as internationally in Namibia and Botswana.
