Working for the Clicks Group offers a few benefits, unfortunately most of them are purely financial. The biggest problem Clicks Holding faces in a very competitive retail environment is the company’s display of poor leadership and inadequate strategic direction. The merchandise strategic direction changes daily, leaving departments insecure and confused. Combine this with poor internal communication and you will find yourself in an environment that offers little employee satisfaction and high levels of frustration. Unfortunately the leadership style does not cultivate an environment for openness nor honesty. Problems are seldom addressed in a professional and candid manner and employees constantly feel the need to defend themselves. This could be ascribed to the fact that the company has restructured its departments every other year and offers little job security as a result. If you see yourself climbing the corporate ladder and don't care how you get ahead and feel no moral obligation towards the employees of a company, then maybe this is the place for you. If you prefer developing yourself to become a leader and strategic thinker - I suggest you reconsider your options.
