"Manager"

I think Direct Axis is a gem that many people dont know about. I have worked for other places before, and work is work - but at Direct Axis there is an x factor that you dont get elsewhere. If you put your hand up and take on the challenges, you will be able to grow, do interesting work and stay stimulated and make a difference. The biggest x factor is its people, and the care and support that gets shown. They are always looking for ways to keep their people motivated and energised. For many it becomes a home away from home.

"Quality Assurance Analyst"
Added 12 Jun 2015 by a current employee
I previously worked as a quality assurance analyst at Direct Axis. I feel like the call agents were very unprofessional in their behaviour because they took the feedback personal. Whenever I listened to a call and the structure of the call was incorrect, it would be my job to inform the agent that the call was incorrect. The agents at Direct Axis usually referred to us as the Police of Direct Axis.

"Call-centre work is dreadful"
Added 10 Jun 2015 by a current employee
Working in a call centre is dreadful. Whether you're doing customer service or sales. This is no secret. And Direct Axis is no different. I can't stand it when people try to convince you that call centre work is not that bad. I have first-hand experience that it is. Direct Axis as a company is not a bad company at all. I guess the position that you hold within the company is what determines whether you enjoy working there or not.

"Operating on Religion"
Added 26 May 2015 by a current employee
To me it feels as if Direct Axis operates on religious values, which make the environment very difficult for those who are not as religious to work in. The company is steadfast on their own culture. The only good thing about the company is that there is a lot of young and vibrant people working there.

"Monotonous work"
Added 26 May 2015 by a current employee
The work is very monotonous. There is little opportunity for growth within the company, even though you’re promised that there is plenty of room for career growth. I have to process applications and contracts; I have to deal with customer’s complaints and also look for possible fraud. All this, under one job title.

"Productive company"
Added 26 May 2015 by a current employee
The first job I had working in a call centre, was at Direct Axis. The company taught me many positive things such as how to communicate with customers in a kind and friendly manner. They also taught me to multi-task and I was practically forced to get along with people from different backgrounds. I loved that we got to gym and so some sports during lunch hour.

"Back in school"
Added 26 May 2015 by a current employee
As a newbie, you always find the first week of work exciting and as time goes on, you get to see the true colours of the company. I felt like I was back in a classroom at university while I was working there. There was no need to adjust to the real world because colleagues were still thinking and behaving like students. I felt like I was doing schoolwork and being paid a small salary for it.

"Opportunity but not utilised"
Added 25 Apr 2015 by a current employee
Direct Axis has the potential to be the next Old Mutual without the retrenchments though. The direction or vision is smart and innovative. I think their biggest problem is how they implement it. They do pay their staff well enough, dont grow their staff internally instead take people from the outside, far too much favoritism occurs, the culture has changed and resulted in negativity. Direct Axis has a huge diverse talent pool in the lower order staff members but they do not recognize this and grow them. They are excellent at providing staff small things that make a difference in the work environment like the soccer pitch and the gym but they also don't allow staff to feel valued for their contribution which does not need to entail monetary value. Overall a good company if you are in mid to top management.

Good company to start your careet at. There are opportunities for growth and continuous learning. Sufficient support is available from management to ensure that work gets done. The remuneration is very low for the amount of work that needs to done daily though.

"Review of my period at Direct Axis"
Added 24 Apr 2015 by a current employee
Wow, to review this awesome company is a privilege. It was a privilege and and honour to be part of this company for 8 years. The people is amazing, true family values. Supporting staff in their personal as well as their professional careers. I had amazing managers/mentors in the company. If they keep their eye on the ball, they can take all their ventures to the top. Direct Axis as a company needs to remember that its the people that makes things happen. Happy staff will inflate the numbers, unhappy staff wont. The company slogan: We love what we do and it shows!!!!! Needs to be instilled in all staff new and old. Miss the people most of all.

"Good balance between work and play!"
Added 23 May 2013 by a current employee
We are a call centre, servicing the money lending market. Like any other place, you get your ups and downs. Co-workers are a charm, always eager to give a helping hand. A happy client is what we all strive for, that's the most enjoyable part. There is also some nice career growth opportunities. I started out as a Digital loan specialist and have recently been appointed to Call Centre Manager.

"Great place to gain experiece"
Added 13 May 2013 by a current employee
Direct Axis has shaped me into a well-rounded individual who is able to do what I do best. Your opinions are always valued and employee inputs are always valued too. Sometimes it can be a little frustrating getting projects off the ground due to the lack of resources. Most enjoyably part of my job is the family bond I have with my co-workers, knowing that we work as a team. Working shifts can sometimes become a bit demanding on family life.
Best companies to work for in the Financial services sector.
