"Growth Stunted"

I have been employed permanently by Gijima under the DCS availability Services department since 2007. In my time here I have noticed that there is no grooming for certain individuals and the company is largely based on ethnicity and nepotism. As a result, you have you to be an Afrikaans speaking caucasian, in order to get anywhere within this department. I have had countless feedback from clients who sometimes even call my manager directly for excellent service. However, this still does not qualify me for grooming or at the least, skills developement. In the past 5 years i have asked management to assist in my skills developement and all I've heard was just how the company does not have the budget for such. Attempts to involve HR proved futile as they themselves have no say when it comes to whom managements decides to groom. After working as a "Senior" for two years in my department, juniors were introduced. Today the majority of these juniors are now my boss in some or other way solomnly based on their ethnicity! It's a crying shame but I guess that's my wake up call to look for greener pastures as I'm definately not getting anywhere for the extra efforts I put in. Any african, Indian or chinese individuals should also think twice before joining this department as your growth WILL, inveriably, be stunted!

I worked hard for Gijima and have generated over 2 million a year for them only as a consultant for them at rate per hour, but when my contract expiried I then applied for a permanent role with them, interview and assessment was succesfully done. While waiting for the appointment letter, I was told I cannot get the job because I have a record for drinking and driving that is almost 12yrs old. What I dont understand is that I worked for them before with that record in my name, that was heart breaking since I was desperate for work. 3 months later they called and wanted to give me an offer for contract position. Again, I felt offended and did not take it.
