House of Monatic was established more than a century ago in 1909, and they are South Africa’s leading manufacturer and distributor of suits, shoes, scarves, skirts, blazers, shirts and ties for men and women working in the corporate environment. The company was formerly known as Monatic-Alba and changed its name in January 1956; and they are now a wholly owned subsidiary of Brimstone Investment Corporation, currently one of the country’s leading empowerment companies. Their excess of 800 staff is currently dispersed across various divisions including manufacturing, sales, merchandising and retail. They boast of an expertly trained design team, as well as a technologically advanced manufacturing plant, expert computer design systems with computerised patterns and well trained knowledgeable staff. The company also offers an on-site and in-house training facility, affiliated with various tertiary design institutions.
