Sime Darby Hudson & Knight (Pty) Ltd, founded in 1950, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sime Darby Berhad. Today they are one of Malaysia's largest fats and oils conglomerates, producing premium baking fats, frying oils and bulk industrial fats. As the world's number one listed palm oil originator, Sime Darby produces nearly 10% of the world's current total palm oil output. The operations that take place at the plantation include edible oil refining, the production of oils, fats and biodiesel. They have a global team of over 100,000 employees in 20 countries including, Singapore, China, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. The South African refinery is located in Boksburg. It harnesses innovative technologies to produce high quality fats and oils that are accredited. Sime Darby Hudson & Knight is currently ISO 9001; ISO 22000; ISO 1400; HACCP, NOSCAR and GMP compliant.
