Started in 1998 by Wayde Greig and Manuel Telo, Label Techniques initially specialized as a packaging and finishing operation. The company changed in 1999, to be a manufacturing of self-adhesive labels. In this year they manufactured of self-adhesive labels. In the same year they acquired a small label company called Two Oceans labels with all their customers. To date the company has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in their people who have grown with them. With its head office in Cape Town, the company services and accommodates clients and their needs from anywhere in South Africa and other countries. They have highly motivated staff that is service orientated and strive to meet clients needs promptly and ensuring them of quality products at market related prices.

This company must be any prospective employee's last choice. With a very autocratic management culture, it is very difficult to be innovative, leading to improvements and to improve oneself and be better equipped for your future goals. The resources utilised is very limited and they run a very lean operation, resulting in multitasking - leading to avoidable quality problems. Staff is not adequately trained as training, as well as Health and Safety is not given priority. To make the organisation more successful, they will need to invest in their people and also apply the basic principles of conducting business; i.e. granting staff leave as per LRA and a host of other irregularities that do not conform to said and environment standards. High labour turnover is indicative of low morale especially on the admin side of the business. Frequent IR issues that could have been avoided is also prevalent. According to info, the company lost all cases that went to the CCMA except one for a pornography related charge. There is no loyalty from either parties, i.e. Management and employee do not trust each other and this causes a great deal of conflict.
