"OLD racist folks must go"
Added 10 Feb 2015 by a current employee
I worked for a processing department in the coporate division of Nedbank for more than 15 years & had to resign due to Racism, nepotism & unfair treatment wich was ochastrated by the Genertal Manager and his white afrikaneer manager. This is where I came across apartheid practices such that it was easy for a white man to be appointed manager but a struggle for a black man to be promoted. These predominantly white afrikaneer male must go as they continue to damage Nedbank's reputation.

"Work long hours over weekends"
Added 03 Sep 2013 by a current employee
Salary with benefits (pension, medical) plus sick leave. Great emphasis on team building with lunches and events (socials). Sometimes management can be unreasonable, threatening their employers. The workload and high targets can be stressful at times. Having to work long hours (especially over the weekend).

Mesharm Bisnath my boss he works for Nedbank and i am his assistance. He is pretty ice guy as a friend,i have learned a lot but sometimes he can be un reasonable he will take out his frustrations on me. We work well together if his in a good mood. Sometimes i feel a bit unappreciated eg; i would as for a leave to sort out personal issues and he will make me feel like i don't deserve the day off. some times i will have to lie to get my day off. He was suppose to have registered me as his employee at the beginning of the year,i am still not registered . if maybe he can register me and pay me fair salary for my work,i think we can work well together. Some times his lazy he will miss a day off work for no valid reason. i will get upset cause we will miss out on client for no reason. that will lead into me not get paid enough as he pays me according to the number clients we done.

"Depends on the Department"
Added 01 Aug 2013 by a current employee
I worked for Nedbank for 6 years and it depends very much which department one works in. Some departments are absolutely fabulous, great perks, great salary, but others are absolutely awful. No perks, no taking part in any of their so-called "compulsory" events for fear that one is not chained to one's desk slaving away. In those departments the policy of work-life balance means absolutely nothing to management as it is all work-work-work. If they could keep you at work chained to the desk for 24 hrs they would do so. My advice to anybody who applies to work at Nedbank is .. beware which department.

"Make Things Happen"
Added 30 Jul 2013 by a current employee
I have worked for numerous companies, from large corporates to small businesses and have never felt such a sense of family as I did working for Nedbank. As an employer, I found they truly valued their staff, encouraged input and embraced change and diversity. Salaries and benefits are very competitive and the training offered to staff is diverse, relevant and focussed on excellence - not just job specific, but also life skills, aimed at enriching the lives of staff. Nedbank offers a sense of security, camaraderie and belonging, while simultaneously demanding hard work and commitment from staff. If you work hard, you will be rewarded – their peer review and performance assessment process encourages fairness and their fairly low staff turn-over confirms that people WANT to work here.

This was a nice company to work at, as everything you is part of daily life. The bank made me a better person in the sence to care for other peoples needs, assist them with all of your ability and put a smile on their faces. The structure of Nedbank is clearly set out together with its expectations. Regarding growth opporunities, there are alot of them its just a matter to show your capabilities. All in all I with recommend any person to take a career up in banking and that would be with Nedbank.
Best companies to work for in the Banking sector.
