The job itself is very challenging but it will enable you to grow. You will be able to work under immense pressure and the management treat everyone with respect. You learn new things such effective communication and working on deadlines. All and all, I enjoyed working there.

"INTERCITY NISSAN EDENVALE"
Added 17 Apr 2015 by a current employee
I worked for this company, which does not seem to exist anymore, for 3 years as the branch Accountant, I really enjoyed working there, although extremely busy. In my job I had 6 departments to control financially - new car sales, used car sales, workshop, parts, petrol forecourt and admin. I had a admin team of 3 people working under my supervision, concerning creditors, debtors and the cleaning lady. In the motor industry there are features you don't get in a normal business, like workshop claims, floorplan payments to the factory as stock was on consignment, and dealing with huge amounts of cash on the forecourt(petrol station) side. It was a really good experience for me.

"Career Opportunity"
Added 17 Apr 2015 by a current employee
There is no relevant career opportunities at Nissan SA for engineering staff to match overseas capability. This company only use engineering graduates to do engineering administation for parts list etc. The Sales and Marketing personel are very well looked after but unfortunately the engineering staff are handled like ordinary uneducated line operators.

"Poor Staff retention"
Added 17 Apr 2015 by a current employee
It is a pitty that NISSAN allows sales staff and management whom has spent years getting trained up to standard to leave . The environment inside the Nissan network is that they will protect their own and see any outsider as a threat . Nissan SA has exactly the same culture . People who are and always has been loyal to Nissan and believe in the brand are lost in the network .

"Electricians Rosslyn branch "
Added 12 Sep 2013 by a current employee
Worked for this company in Rosslyn as a maintenance electrician. Old staff hectically into job protection not wanting to teach new staff. I was threatened by a supervisor that I should not think I would get a permanent post just because I was an electronics expert and could repair spot welder timer circuitry. Old staff go sleep on chairs at night and give orders to contracting staff that work under LP Artisans indefinitely for years. Highly unstable company. LP artisans the sub-contracting hiring company did not even give me my UIF when I was retrenched, saying I fell under a pool of employees that might be called back at any time. Owner at LP artisans is a scoundrel. Gave company a misleading story saying, I left a permanent post to join Nissan and got retrenched without UIF card. "ou manne" attitude.
Best companies to work for in the Automotive sector.
