"High Stress Level"
Added 09 Jun 2015 by a current employee
You are constantly under pressure and high stress levels are common in this company. The suppliers are constantly late with deliveries and this makes my job distasteful. The good thing is that you get to meet a variety of people and my colleagues are great to work with…but these good things mentioned does not pay the bills.

"You don't really need a qualification"
Added 09 Jun 2015 by a current employee
What I love about Paarl Media is that you are secured in this job because it is a sub-company of Media24. You don’t really need a qualification to work in production because most of the things you learn at the workplace in this department. You also get subsidised with newspapers and magazines so you don’t have to purchase them in the store.

"Paarl Print"
Added 19 Jun 2013 by a current employee
Although the benefits of employee share allocation are excellent, "shop-floor" employees are viewed solely as workers by management. Poor decisions made by top management is overlooked while serious consequences can be expected for the rank & file worker for minor breeches. The Company could have been an excellent workplace had the rank & file felt more appreciated and opinions listened too. An example of bad communication was where the medical benefits were changed without any infomation being forwarded to employees, thereby making the change a fait-acompli.

"Fun family vibe"
Added 27 May 2013 by a current employee
Well always busy because of deadlines but this is the fun part there's room for a laugh. A lot of the employees have been working at Paarl Media for a long time, which gives it a nice family vibe. Management is a little old school, but recently we have seen some changes.
Best companies to work for in the Media production sector.
