The company prides itself on giving visitors and possible new contracts an image of happy employees and amazing services, but behind the scenes they really don't care. Escalated issues are left until it can be closed as 'work as designed' or 'issue no longer occurring.' The company feeds on students and people entering the working world for the first time. Promising growth within the company and being part of an extremely large industry.. only to find that no training is provided or any skills gained that can be used in any other work place. 24/7 standby, pays only a fixed amount of a mere R275 for an entire nights work. And a base salary that gets put to shame by a cashiers income at woolies. Not to mention racial remarks and asking employees to work more than the allowed hours per day. Also advising employees that they are not allowed to take part in any strikes or any union. If your looking for a 6 month small income while looking for other work then yes Stowe is your choice. Company bonuses would include a R5.00 drink on Fridays, selling certain alcohol they have no permit for. And also allowing employees to openly enjoy certain substances that the law frowns upon. All in all one step back from your dream job.
