Symington and Partners Radiology

Symington and Partners Radiology was the first practice in South Africa to implement computer radiography in 1996. They installed their first multi-detector CT scanner in the Western in 2004. They opened their doors on the 1st of January 1995. At that time they only had 1 radiologist, Dr Jack Bergman, together with 3 radiographers and 1 administrative official. Their staff complement has grown and currently consists of 9 radiologists, 42 radiographers and 29 administrative officials. The practice acquired the radiology practice at N1 City Hospital from Dr I Van Niekerk in July 1997. They then began transferring the bulk of operations to N1 City Hospital. The practice is committed to being at the forefront of imaging technology so that they can provide their patients and referring clinicians with the most advanced imaging available.
