I worked at the Foschini head office and it was a great experience. All I had to do was open and process accounts. I basically handled everything to do with accounts. The Foschini Group uses a simplified system and I think this is the key factor behind its success. Every employee knows exactly what to do. The only thing that was odd, was the working hours. I don't know how they worked out the shifts, but I was assigned odd shifts. For example, they'd ask me to come in on a Saturday morning for two hours only. There is a lot of room for career growth within the company.

I loved the culture of the company, from the top management to store operations and the 'each one teach one policy' - I viewed it as the best. Although the relationship towards regional and store level should be looked at in depth, and strengthen. This could take it to even more heights.
Best companies to work for in the Retail sector.
