"Unfair descision making/One Sided"

It is so true what the previous reviewers are saying: If you do not click and work at least 18 hours a day and 'yes sir,no sir' you are giving your 150%. HR is ruled by the upper hand in the company and what the upper hand says will be law. One sided decisions are made and you as an employee bites the dust.

"Nepotism"

Company work culture is still very white, non-whites won't go far in this company. HR is not neutral and takes the side of the Management. HR also discusses salary with the relevant people they know in the company. In short, not a good company to work for.

"Nepotism"
Added 13 Sep 2013 by a current employee
I have been employed permanently by Value Logistics under the 4PL Department from 2011 to 2013. In my time there I have noticed that there is no grooming for certain individuals, largely based on ethnicity and nepotism. As a result, the whites get first preference, we were a compliment of about 15 staff members excluding management, 2 coloureds, 1 coloured being female, 1 black and 1 indian, whereby I was asked to go work down in a warehouse due to backlogs in the trucking industry last year. When I queried why the other white males can't alternate working in the warehouse, I was suddenly called insubordinate. Worked in the warehouse for 2 months from being a senior business analyst to working in a cage suited for birds - whites who just started there were sent on advanced courses, no one ever approached me. Also some guys have contacts in high level HR department who discuss your salary to your fellow colleagues, making it difficult to work 'cos they know your salary already. If u earn higher then them as a non-white, you are doomed for discrimination, and due to contracts that was lost. I was somehow forced to resign from the company to re-coup their losses. Management micro manage staff and is also slow in overviewing work that was "so important" only to be left for the last minute. Year end bonus I got a measly R3000.
Best companies to work for in the Logistics and supply chain sector.
