What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Oversight of standard monthly team processes:
Overall management (including review and confirmation of submission) of monthly and regulatory returns ensuring all deliverables are met on time.

Reporting
Monthly Reporting
Preparation of monthly reports for in country partners and stakeholders, being monthly publish.
Ensure early roll over of all reports for the new month.
Ensure all reports are ready for management review and follow up where reports are required from the greater finance team.
Drafting of management accounts when requested on standard templates.

Statutory Reporting
Review of single entity and annual consolidated financial statements including all notes.
Review of all accounting policies and ensure that all new accounting policies have been accounted for in the relevant sets of financial statements and consistent application across responsible entities and compliance to IFRS.
Prepare Annual Financial Statements for the entities within the silo that are not prepared externally under the applicable accounting framework on Caseware.
Review of Annual Financial Statements for the entities within the silo that are prepared externally in line with our standard template.

Board reporting
Review & assist with the preparation and coordination of all information for board reports where applicable.
Ensure disclosure in the AFS complies with IFRS and aids in displaying decision useful information for example:
Sensitivity analysis per major market for:
Currency exposure;
Accepted purchases;
Processor receivables;
Interest, credit and market risk and reasons for changes; and
Liquidity risk and evaluation of working capital management across all groups (Cash flow vs liquidity and solvency ratio).
Compliance reporting
Review of all required reporting and submissions for regulated markets where required.
Review of all required reporting for all Gaming Authorities.
All monthly and annual entity reports to administrators.
All reporting to be standardized across entities.

Audit reviews
Obtain audit fees across all entities and request new proposed audit fees for negotiation.
Review of the monthly audit fee and accounting accruals and ensure the accruals are raised based on the quoted fees in the engagement letters.
Prepare audit timelines and plan each year in coordination with the Group Audit Specialist (Financial Manager to be involved).
Set up of all audit review meetings.
Review research of new IFRS reporting and apply to annual financial statements where applicable.
Manage the audit process:
Ensure uploads of all audit files onto audit portal.
Ensure constant follow up with team leads and financial manager to ensure timely submission of files.
Sign off on the group audit schedules in coordination with the Group Audit Specialist.
Assist in finalization of audit files and TB’s for submission to auditors.
Manage the coordination all audit queries received.
Maintain an audit query list to ensure all queries answered and to assist with the following years audit.
Review of drafted of financial statements for management and audit review, (applicable if the financial statements were drafted by a third party, or another team member)
Review of audit journals:
Review summary of audit and client journals resulting from audits and compare TBs after journals were posted to signed AFS.
Ensure that Retained Earnings per the ERP (NAV) agrees to signed AFS in local currency.

Quarterly audit files (Internal)
Set up meetings for quarterly audit reviews within Floqast, specifically SOX audits
Maintain IFRS16 schedules for group reporting.
Statutory
Structures
Obtain and maintain relevant group structures with Company Secretary.
Ensure regulatory bodies are in good standing order. Agree all share capital to all relevant statutory documents and ensure that all investments are correctly recorded and consolidate out, where applicable.
Maintain a director’s register for all entities in group structures.
Action director changes within silo and communicate such changes to the Group Company Secretary, where applicable.

Investments & Evaluation
Ensure accurate going concerns with forecasting.
Perform valuations of companies, databases etc.

Accounting recording and reporting systems
Assist financial accountants and financial managers with new company set up for entities the statutory structure (organic or acquired) in Navision and Cognos ensuring consistency with all other entities. Mapping new entities in Cognos and ensuring all reporting updated accordingly.

Effectively work as a team with rest of the finance team.
Effectively communicate to manager and team members to ensure key deliverables are met on time and potential problems escalated.

Effectively feeds information to required members of the team to ensure all important updates are shared appropriately;

Ad hoc projects:
Assist in the drafting of process notes detailing how and why monthly tasks are performed to ensure business continuity.
Other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time.

CA (SA) or ACCA
Accounting reporting experience
Knowledge of IFRS
Minimum 2 years taxation experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
