Are you a French speaking well experienced Financial professional open to embarking on a new career journey in Mali? The key purpose of the role is to ensure high-quality accounting and reporting within the local customer centres. This newly created role includes providing financial analytical support to the operational teams within the West Africa Region, particularly in French-speaking countries. The organisation operates in Mali, providing innovative mining equipment and services for drilling and rock excavation. The business’s presence in Mali includes offering a range of products, solutions, and services tailored to the needs of the local mining sector.

SALARY:
USD8000.00 – USD10 000.00
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting and Reporting: Ensure compliance with the organisation’s standards and timely group reporting and accounting (IFRS & SYSCOHADA).
Supervision: Oversee local accounting functions and support statutory, tax reporting, and compliance.
Audits and Projects: Participate in internal, external, and tax audits, as well as various projects.
Collaboration: Work with the regional finance team and the Regional COE.
Advisory: Provide guidance on taxes, compliance, and regulations.
Issue Detection: Proactively identify and address compliance and internal control issues.
Support: Respond to accounting and reporting inquiries from operations.
Ensure successful operations of regional companies, focusing on accounting and financial accuracy.
Asset Safeguarding: Contribute to safeguarding company assets through regular control and necessary insurance coverage.
Local content, cover 3 countries (Burkina, Mali, Ivory Coast), 2 accountings (group IFRS and local SYSCOHADA
What to achieve in the role:
To set accurate accounting, mitigation of taxation risk, internal controls (audit, BS review, risk assessment), planning/budgeting, support to business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Chartered Accountant, ACMA, BCom Accounting Honors or MBA.
Minimum of 6 years in accounting and finance within multinational companies, with previous experience in a similar position.
Proficiency in French and knowledge of English.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, experience with BPCS/AS400, SAP BW, ECS, SharePoint, Teams, and advanced Excel.
Training and experience in project/change management.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvements.
