Our client a 5 Star Game Reserve located approximately 100 kilometers from the city of Gqeberha has 3 openings for a Chef-de-Partie. This establishment is one of South Africa’s premier luxury destinations where a great deal of attention to fine detail is of utmost importance. The client expects their staff to be well versed in the fine art of cuisine with exceptional service.

The requirement for the positions is as follows:
1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 5-Star establishment as a Chef-de-Partie. (international five Star experience would be a bonus)
2. A professional chef diploma or certificate is essential.
3. Your own transport as there is big five game present on the property, and the nearest town for you to buy your provisions is 10 kilometres away from the reserves gate, not having your own vehicle would make your life very difficult.

Some of your duties would be as follows but not limited to:
1. Plan and execute menus in collaboration with other colleagues.
2. Ensure adequacy of supplies at all times.
3. Place orders in a timely manner.
4. Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis.
5. Follow the directions of the executive and sous chef.
6. Suggest new ways of presentation of dishes.
7. Suggest new rules and procedures for optimizing the cooking process.
8. Give attention productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality.
9. Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards.
10. Collaborate with other colleagues and seniors.
