Available Opportunity for a IT Customer Engineer
Are you an innovative, deadline-driven IT engineer?
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with design, construction, equipment installation, system configuration, maintenance, and preventative maintenance plans.
Provide customer support and troubleshoot systems.
Identify problems, write reports, and offer solutions.
Requirements:
Languages: Afrikaans & English (written & verbal).
IT Experience: 3+ years, with 2 years in enterprise server environments (Windows Server, VMWare/Hyper-V).
Knowledge:
Desktops, laptops, printers, Microsoft 365 Suite, Windows 10 & 11, Windows Server 2012+, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, Exchange, SQL Server, scripting, LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing, switching, ITIL processes, remote monitoring systems, redundancy strategies, and hypervisors.
Advantageous:
SAN storage management, public services, firewall management, proxy servers.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate
CompTIA A+ and N+
CCNA/CCNP
MCITP/MCSE on Windows Server 2012+
Microsoft 365 Administration
Preferred:
Microsoft Azure Certification, vendor certifications (HPE, DELL, LENOVO, IBM, etc.)
Responsibilities by Support Level:
1st Line Support:
Support via email, phone, or remote assistance.
Diagnose and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, etc.
Troubleshoot connectivity problems and utilize Active Directory.
Maintain accurate IT inventory documentation.
Ensure compliance with security protocols.
2nd Line Support:
Support and troubleshoot issues, manage Hyper-V and VMware environments.
Collaborate with customer engineers on complex issues.
Perform server and security audits.
Lead infrastructure and network improvement projects.
3rd Line Support:
Oversee and maintain server and network systems.
Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure.
Manage escalations and ensure SLA adherence.
Visit client sites to troubleshoot and implement IT solutions.
Continuously seek improvement opportunities and maintain documentation.
