Financial - Banking Industry

Duties & Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various banking sources (transactions, customer behavior, loan performance, etc.).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.
Collaborate with different departments (Finance, Risk, Marketing, IT) to provide data-driven insights.
Assist in fraud detection, credit risk assessment, and customer segmentation.
Automate data collection and reporting processes using SQL, Python, R, or other relevant tools.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with banking regulations.
Support machine learning and predictive analytics initiatives when applicable.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Diploma Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in data analysis, preferably in banking or financial services.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis.
Understanding of financial principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Familiarity with machine learning and predictive modeling techniques.
Previous experience in banking, risk analysis, or financial forecasting.

Skills
Excel (Advanced) - Strong skills in formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data modeling.
Statistical & Predictive Analytics - Understanding of statistical models, forecasting, and machine learning basics.
Big Data & Cloud Technologies - Familiarity with tools like Hadoop, Spark, Google Cloud, or AWS (optional but valuable).
Risk & Fraud Analysis - Knowledge of banking risk assessment and fraud detection techniques.
ETL & Data Warehousing - Experience in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL)
