Position Description

Title: Dell Product Manager
Reporting to: Technical Manager
Location: Randpark Ridge

Position Purpose:

DELL PRODUCT MANAGER required for our client in the ICT industry who are based in Randpark Ridge to manage and grow the company’s Dell product portfolio by driving product strategy, ensuring effective technical delivery, and aligning solutions with client requirements. The Product Manager collaborates closely with the Sales Manager to support sales targets and enable the sales team, focusing on Dell’s offerings in Servers, Storage, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), Backup, and related technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in Dell Technologies is mandatory (e.g., Dell EMC Proven Professional certifications)
• At least 5 years of experience in product management or technical sales, with a focus on Dell solutions.
• Proven expertise in storage, backup, and server technologies.
• Experience working with vendors and managing partner relationships.
• Must know how to manage training and rebates
• Deep technical understanding of Dell products and solutions.
• In-depth understanding of the structure of how Dell works and operates its business

Duties and Responsibilities and Performance Outcomes:

Product Strategy and Management

• Develop and implement strategies for Dell product positioning and growth.
• Align product offerings with market demands and customer requirements.
• Regularly update the product portfolio to incorporate the latest Dell Technologies.
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the current product line to ensure competitiveness.

Vendor and Partner Management

• Act as the main point of contact for Dell vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Dell partnership requirements, including certifications and performance metrics.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and rebates with Dell and related vendors.
• Represent the company in Dell-related events, training, and partner meetings.

Technical Expertise and Support

• Provide in-depth technical knowledge of Dell solutions to internal teams and customers.
• Assist in designing and implementing Dell-based solutions for clients.
• Support sales teams with pre-sales technical assistance, including proposal development and presentations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions for customers.

Customer Engagement

• Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to identify customer needs.
• Work closely with clients to ensure successful implementation of Dell solutions.
• Act as a technical advisor to resolve customer issues and queries related to Dell products.

Training and Knowledge Sharing

• Provide training to internal teams and customers on Dell products and solutions.
• Share updates on new technologies, trends, and Dell’s product roadmap.
• Develop training materials and documentation for team and customer enablement.

Certifications and Compliance

• Ensure Dell certifications are up-to-date and aligned with vendor requirements.
• Monitor and maintain professional certifications to uphold technical expertise.
• Support team members in obtaining and renewing relevant Dell certifications.

Performance Management and Sales Targets

• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align Dell product strategies with sales objectives.
• Support the sales team with pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal input.
• Track and report on Dell-related opportunities, including contributions to deal closures.
• Conduct regular reviews with the Sales Manager to analyse progress on Dell-specific sales targets and opportunities.
• Provide training and enablement sessions for the sales team to improve their understanding and positioning of Dell solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Dell’s partner requirements to secure rebates, incentives, and pricing benefits.
• Collect and analyse feedback from the sales team and customers to improve technical and sales strategies.

Reporting and Analytics

• Track and report on Dell product performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on product adoption, revenue growth, and technical deliverables.
• Provide insights to the Technical Manager to support strategic decision-making.
