Lead a team of developers in developing and implementing application features which directly drive value.
Contribute to architecture, instrumentation, & performance decisions.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team and personal learning.
Coach software developers on software development best practices.
Work with the business owners on planning and preparing for new projects.
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes required to deliver new software or upgrade existing application.
Take a hands-on role in software development.
Work closely with business managers / SME’s to identify the requirements for new software applications.
Identify the skills needed for each development project and prepare a resourcing plan.
Organize training programs and monitor the performance of team members against strategic targets and provide mentoring or training, if necessary.
Ensure that teams have access to the resources they need, such as computing systems, development tools and communications.
Monitor progress and conduct regular team meetings to review progress and to identify potential obstacles to completion.
Monitor quality to ensure that products meet their technical and business objectives.
Provide management presentations and reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Appropriate Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, or Information Technology, or Informatics, or Engineering, or Information Systems, or Commerce or other relevant qualification at NQF7

Minimum Experience
10+ years in the ICT industry
5+ years of which are in the Justice cluster
8+ years in managing .NET and mobile development projects

Added Advantage
Experience in SOA based Application Architecture principles.
