SUMMARY
Our client in the Banking industry is looking for an Equity Analyst to implement all aspects of quality assurance and compliance within Business and Commercial Banking with Business Compliance, Group Compliance, Operations and Client Services. This individual must ensure that all products and services meet all relevant regulatory standards in line with the bank’s implemented policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for FICA signoff for all new clients and the ongoing maintenance and reviews of such accounts which have been risk rated as low and medium risk
Responsible for reviewing and collating all high-risk clients for all new and ongoing reviews and administering signoff from Compliance Officers and relevant Committees (High-Risk Committee)
Perform Enhanced Due Diligence on potential, new and existing clients as and when required
Assist in the monitoring and management of Cash threshold reporting, Suspicious transaction reporting and any other reporting as and when required
Ensure that all the regulatory requirements and reporting obligations within the compliance monitoring plan are being complied with
Investigating, reviewing and clearing alerts on the Fraud Management Systems
Approving after reviewing for data quality and accuracy of Transactional Banking payments over a specified limit
Fraud monitoring and assessing fraud trends (card and transactional accounts)
Monitoring adherence to data quality standards
Ensure all breaches identified are monitored, reported, escalated to relevant person/s & Committee/s and corrective actions are taken
WLF Screening – level 2 investigation and liaison between business and business compliance
POPIA implementation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
LLB / BCOM / Diploma in Compliance Management/Business Management (would be beneficial)
Banking experience essential
Understand Business Commercial Banking, its policies and procedures and assist in the enhancement of the same based on prevailing legislative and process changes
