Position: Event Manager
Job Type: Permanent, In office (not negotiable)
Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport.

Vision Décor & Event Solutions is a leading event industry brand that organises complex and non-complex events for our corporate clients. We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced events manager who can add tangible value in making our clients events consistently efficient, cost-effective, and memorable.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for events management, coordination, and activations, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You should be able to evaluate and negotiate with vendors, collaborate with the relevant parties in finalising service contracts, and manage communications with attendees, speakers, entertainers, and client stakeholders. Corporate experience is an advantage.

Above all, you must be comfortable in a leadership role that demands a creative, business-driven mindset, develop lasting relationships with vendors, and most of all foster healthy relationships with our client base.

Required skills and qualifications
• A qualification in Event Management, Marketing, PR.
• Must have more than 5 years’ experience in an Event Manager role.
• A proven track record of successful events that you have worked on as a lead.
• Excellent organizational, communication and negotiating skills.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities, specifically in managing multiple events and tasks.
• Time management and the ability to prioritise tasks in order to reach deadlines.
• Experience in managing budgets and tracking expenses.
• Experience in working with event management tools and processes.
• Strong communication skills as well as exception interpersonal and social skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset.
• Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with event trends and developments.
• Demonstrate an understanding of attendees’ needs.
• Creativity in crafting internal and external events.
• Ability to delegate tasks and organise a team.

Preferred skills and qualifications
• A degree (or equivalent) in event management or public relations.
• Established relationships with vendors.
• Proficiency in more than one language.
• Experience in working in a corporate environment/with corporate clientele.
• Copywriting abilities
