RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate as a member of the management team to ensure effective level strategic planning and management of the function, and achievement of all business objectives.
Monitor and interpret results and key financial and non-financial trends and advise on required interventions to ensure ongoing achievement of business results.
Manage all function related finance policy and procedures to ensure sound governance of the finance function.
Initiate and lead the ongoing review of processes and systems (including IT) and oversee projects aimed at ensuring continuous improvement and reduction in cost.
Oversee and manage the monthly, interim and year-end financial process to ensure the accurate and timeous reporting of business results.
Manage, analyze, monitor and control the annual budgeting process to ensure the budget is aligned with the business strategy and costs are maintained within budget in order to achieve targeted profitability levels.
People management, including the recruitment & selection, performance management, development, reward, communication and motivation of staff to ensure the Finance function is optimally staffed with competent employees who are able to meet their objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BCom financial degree or equivalent
CA(SA) advantageous
5-10 years financial controller experience.
Strategic and business planning skills.
Knowledge of procurement, logistics and warehousing.
Negotiation skills.
Excellent time management
