A Construction company based in Durban operating throughout KZN is looking for suitably qualified Roads & Layer works Foreman must have a sound knowledge of Roads & Layer works for Provincial Roads and Highways, in excess of R100 Million . You must be able to travel, this not negotiable.

Foreman/Snr Foreman – Roads & Earthworks

Description:

Assumes responsibility for the Management and integration of all physical construction activities on site including Layer works.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with allocated resources.
Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to subordinates.

Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.
Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site

Skills, Experience & Education:

Relevant Construction Qualification with 15 - 20 years of experience in the Roads & earthworks industry particularly in Highway/National roads, out of which the last 6-8 years should have functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/ large Roads & Earthworks construction Company.
