Position Description

Title: Huawei Product Manager
Reporting to: Technical Manager
Location: Randpark Ridge

Position Purpose:

HUAWEI PRODUCT MANAGER required for our client in the ICT industry who are based in Randpark Ridge to manage and grow the company’s Huawei product portfolio by ensuring effective product positioning, seamless technical delivery, and alignment with client requirements. The Product Manager is responsible for driving product adoption, managing vendor relationships, and providing technical expertise for Huawei solutions in the areas of, but not limited to storage, backup, and servers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in Huawei products or technologies is mandatory (e.g., HCIA, HCIP, or HCIE).
• At least 5 years of experience in product management or technical sales, with a focus on Huawei solutions.
• Proven expertise in storage, backup, and server technologies.
• Experience working with vendors and managing partner relationships.
• Must know how to manage training and rebates
• Deep technical understanding of Huawei products and solutions.
• In-depth understanding of the structure of how Huawei works and operates its business
• Proficiency in using the Huawei partner portal

Duties and Responsibilities and Performance Outcomes:

Product Strategy and Management

• Develop and implement strategies for Huawei product positioning and growth.
• Align product offerings with market demands and customer requirements.
• Regularly update the product portfolio to incorporate the latest Huawei Technologies.
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the current product line to ensure competitiveness.

Vendor and Partner Management

• Act as the main point of contact for Huawei vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Huawei partnership requirements, including certifications and performance metrics.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and rebates with Huawei and related vendors.
• Represent the company in Huawei-related events, training, and partner meetings.

Technical Expertise and Support

• Provide in-depth technical knowledge of Huawei solutions to internal teams and customers.
• Assist in designing and implementing Huawei-based solutions for clients.
• Support sales teams with pre-sales technical assistance, including proposal development and presentations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions for customers.

Customer Engagement

• Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to identify customer needs.
• Work closely with clients to ensure successful implementation of Huawei solutions.
• Act as a technical advisor to resolve customer issues and queries related to Huawei products.

Training and Knowledge Sharing

• Provide training to internal teams and customers on Huawei products and solutions.
• Share updates on new technologies, trends, and Huawei’s product roadmap.
• Develop training materials and documentation for team and customer enablement.

Certifications and Compliance

• Ensure Huawei certifications are up-to-date and aligned with vendor requirements.
• Monitor and maintain professional certifications to uphold technical expertise.
• Support team members in obtaining and renewing relevant Huawei certifications.

Performance Management and Sales Targets

• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align Huawei product strategies with sales objectives.
• Support the sales team with pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal input.
• Track and report on Huawei-related opportunities, including contributions to deal closures.
• Conduct regular reviews with the Sales Manager to analyse progress on Huawei-specific sales targets and opportunities.
• Provide training and enablement sessions for the sales team to improve their understanding and positioning of Huawei solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Huawei’s partner requirements to secure rebates, incentives, and pricing benefits.
• Collect and analyse feedback from the sales team and customers to improve technical and sales strategies.

Reporting and Analytics

• Track and report on Huawei product performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on product adoption, revenue growth, and technical deliverables.
• Provide insights to the Technical Manager to support strategic decision-making.
