JUNIOR BUYER - RAW MATERIALS (CATO RIDGE, KZN)

Acquire raw materials that meet quality standards and ensure their timely availability for production through efficient logistics, all while maintaining competitive pricing and protecting profit margins.

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS - Please read before applying
· Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
· BCom; BSc degree (Purchasing / Agriculture / Animal Science an advantageous)
- ESSENTIAL - Able to communicate in AFRIKAANS due to large customer base
· Valid SA Code 08/EB drivers license
· 3 – 4 Years’ experience in buying / purchasing of raw materials
· Proven experience in a manufacturing, logistics and procurement environment.
· Proven work knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word
· Conflict handling skills
· Communication & negotiating skills
· Relationship building and team player skills
· Written communication skills

PROVEN PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING JOB FUNCTIONS:

Trade products where required at a profitable level by buying and selling the products with the authorization of Group Purchasing Manager and Trader. Coordination and Administration of raw material contracts. Administration of supplier contracts. Raw material quality. Administration and management of purchasing reports.
