JUNIOR IT CUSTOMER ENGINEER – SERVER SPECIALIST (IT INDUSTRY)
PLATTEKLOOF, CAPE TOWN, WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• SALARY ON OFFER: R20 000 TO R25 000 BASIC per month
• Matric
• Minimum 3 - 6 years’ solid IT experience
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in an enterprise server environment with administration and problem resolution of Windows Server
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in virtualised workloads (VMWare / Hyper-V)
• Certification in: CompTIA A+ and N+, CCNA/CCNP, MCITP/MCSE on Windows Server 2012+. Microsoft 365 Administration
• Microsoft Azure Certification (ADVANTAGEOUS)
• Vendor Certifications (HPE, DELL, LENOVO, IBM, etc) (ADVANTAGEOUS)
• Extensive knowledge & experience in: Desktops, Laptops, printers, Network Copiers; Microsoft 365 Suite (Licensing, Products, Services); Windows 10 & 11 Operating Systems; Redundancy Strategies (RAID, HA, Failover, MPIO); Hyper Visors (VMWARE, Hyper-V, Azure); Windows Server 2012+ Operating Systems; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS Roles and including functions within the roles; Installation and Configuration of Exchange / SQL Server; Basic Scripting Tasks for Large Scale Deployments; LAN / WAN Solutions; Networking (VLAN, Routing, Switching); ITIL processes and experience adhering to them in a production environment; Remote Monitoring Systems
• Advantageous: SAN Storage Management; Public Services (DNS, Public IPs, Subnetting); Firewall Management (ACL, Zones, NAT) & Installation and Maintenance of Proxy Servers
• Excellent communication skills in both English & Afrikaans
• Willing to work overtime and on standby support when scheduled (ESSENTIAL)
• Valid driver’s license (no endorsements) & own vehicle (ESSENTIAL)
