Our client is looking for a Laboratory Supervisor.

SUMMARY
Manganese Metal Company (“MMC”), based in Mbombela (Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province), is the world’s largest producer of 99.9% electrolytic manganese metal (“EMM”). Our products are used in the top-end of the market, in the aluminium, steel, non-ferrous alloys, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, chemicals and welding consumable industries.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The job incumbent will be responsible to supervise the day-to-day laboratory work and to ensure that the verification and reporting of results is performed accurately and timeously

RESPONSIBILITIES
Checking and authorising results for processing and final product systems.
Ensure equipment and wet chemistry methods availability.
Ensure (wet laboratory) adherence and compliance to all HSEQ legislation, policy and procedures.
Leading a high-performance team.
Adhering to section cost control measures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.
3 years’ job-related experience in an analytical laboratory production environment.
Computer skills.
Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) knowledge and experience
