Duties & Responsibilities

The Lease Accountant is responsible for managing lease data within the lease accounting system and ensuring compliance with the IFRS 16 standard. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams, variance investigation, audit preparation, and ongoing system improvements to ensure seamless and accurate lease accounting and reporting. The Lease The accountant will also drive the process of resolving operational gaps related to lease data management and reporting, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification
B. Comm / Similar undergrad degree non-negotiable

Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a lease accounting role particularly within dynamic and fast-paced industries (Telecom experience is a plus) In-depth experience with lease accounting systems, particularly MRI Lease System, Oracle, or similar platforms.
* Strong proficiency in variance analysis, budgeting, and lease financial reporting.
* Proven experience in working with auditors and preparing audit-ready documentation

Salary: Up to R40 000 per month (negotiable)
Contract: 6 Months
Location: West Rand
