Our client is looking to employ as a Logistics Manager.

ABILITIES:

People Management:
Oversee a diverse team, ensuring accountability for executing/ complying with established processes/ service delivery standards
Assess supervisor performance against objectives and key performance indicators (KPAs).
Manage team deliverables in alignment with defined processes, service level agreements (SLAs), and benchmark standards.
Foster team motivation/oversee training/development/performance enhancement.
Lead, inspire, and manage a logistics team by providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to drive productivity and professional growth.

Process and Procedures
Regularly evaluate and optimize logistics processes and systems.
Identify obstacles, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, applying best practices to boost performance and customer satisfaction.
Provide training and reinforce process compliance within the team, as well as with third-party suppliers and customers.

Supplier and customer engagement
Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, resolving any logistics challenges that could affect customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers through regular communication, meetings, and events.
Organize and document meetings by preparing agendas and minutes, ensuring follow-through on action items.
Oversee supplier costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Conduct annual supplier reviews to uphold best practices, including evaluating technology advancements and negotiating pricing.

Stock Management
Oversee the procurement, receipting, tracking, warehousing, distribution, and reporting of Fixed Assets, Inventory, and SIMs for the product suite and third-party customers.
Ensure agreed stock levels are maintained across warehouses, technician (boot) stock, and customer holdings for Fixed Assets, Inventory, SIMs, and other required devices.
Manage physical stock movements and monthly stock counts, including process execution, communication, administration, physical verification, sign-offs, and report submission to Finance within business deadlines (which may require weekend work).
Ensure monthly stock reporting includes technicians, contractors, suppliers, and customers where applicable.
Oversee the churn and repair processes for fixed assets and inventory, as well as the management of RMA warranty claims with OEMs when need

Reporting & Analysis
Detect trends or inconsistencies and implement corrective actions.
Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics performance trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Track and evaluate vendor performance, focusing on delivery timeliness and service quality.
Assess and report on inventory levels, identifying potential risks and opportunities for enhanced management.
Develop and present operational dashboards to senior leadership, providing clear insights into logistics performance

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics /Supply Chain Management /Business Administration/ or a related field.
4 – 6 Years management/ skilled / Telecommunications experience
Computer literacy – Strong MS Office skills
CRM – customer relations management
