POSITION: PRODUCTION PLANNER (RAIL & LOCOMOTIVE)
LOCATION: ROSSLYN, PRETORIA, GAUTENG PROVINCE

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Matric
• Qualified D/E Artisan, Knowledge of Locomotive Mechanical Engineering, Systems, Parts, Manuals or a related field
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) (ADVANTAGEOUS)
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in production planning, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment, ideally related to heavy machinery, locomotives, or similar industries
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and project documentation management (ESSENTIAL)
• Experience in procurement and critical spares management
• Strong understanding of locomotive systems, mechanical engineering, or rail industry standards (ADVANTAGEOUS)
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and project management software (e.g., MS Project)
• Knowledge of quality control standards and technical report writing
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in locomotive or rail vehicle refurbishment projects (ADVANTAGEOUS)
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the transportation or heavy machinery sectors (ADVANTAGEOUS)
• Solid work history with contactable references
• Excellent communications skills in English (verbally and written)
• Valid driver’s license (no endorsements) (ESSENTIAL)
• Own reliable vehicle / transport (ESSENTIAL)
