Quantity Surveyor - Building(Transkei)

This large Construction Company working throughout South Africa, is looking for suitably qualified Quantity Surveyors - Building to join their Eastern Cape branch. Must be prepared to travel and must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.

Experienced Quantity Surveyor with minimum 5-8 years post qualification experience on major Industrial/Commercial building and residential construction sites in particular Hospitals.

Manage all QS functions of large building projects in excess of R 100 Million.
Be part of a winning team.

Minimum Requirements:

BSc / BTech Quantity Surveying
High degree of computer literacy. (CCS and MS Office)
5 - 8 years hands on QS experience with a large CIDB 9 Building contractor.

Responsibilities:

Excellent skills in negotiations; claims, tenders, cost analysis, cost controls, schedules, allowables, variations, certificates and final accounts.
Ability to work accurately be Self-motivated and able to work independently
Problem solving abilities
Good interpersonal skills
