We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment who will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market penetration within the designated region. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the sales strategy, managing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded. This role involves analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key clients and distributors. Additionally, you will monitor competitor activities, provide training and support to the team, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Your ultimate goal is to maximize revenue, enhance brand visibility, and contribute to the overall success of the company in a highly competitive market.
This opportunity is for an experienced, mature and professional sales driven candidate with high level Regional Sales and customer relationship experience.
Account Management
• Understanding top twenty accounts
• Visit customers and establish relationships
• Contact strategic accounts weekly
• Prepare monthly and yearly visit/contact schedules
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales contracts
• Follow up on new leads and referrals
• Monitor competition and gather market information
• Develop and implement special sales activities
• Ensure all relevant price increases are recovered
• Conduct root cause analysis on low/negative margin items
2. Customer Interaction and Support
• Discuss current orders and future requirements
• Keep management informed with visiting reports
• Resolve customer complaints
• Process new sample requests and follow up until delivered
• Follow up on payment problems
• Manage interpersonal processes and constructively address conflict
• Engage in mutual problem-solving
• Monitor and evaluate customer concerns and satisfaction
3. Sales Operations and Planning
• Plan and organize daily work schedules
• Ensure timely receipt of orders by the factory
• Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of bags
• Manage working capital according to operational requirements
• Ensure account profitability and implement corrective actions if needed
• Collate accurate and realistic forecasts
• Measure and report regularly against progress
• Ensure monthly sales targets are achieved
4. New Product Development
• Meet with Head of Sales and Marketing for new product requirements
• Investigate new products and opportunities
• Investigate new green options and understand customer sustainability needs
• Get pricing for new product developments
• Collaborate on new artwork processes and designs
5. Internal Coordination and Reporting
• Communicate visit schedules to Head of Sales and Marketing
• Email reports to customers and Head of Sales and Marketing
• Prepare ad hoc financial reviews and sales analysis reports
• Assist with gathering data for sales budgets and reports
• Create spreadsheets for customer requested information
• Keep client data records up to date
6. Finished Goods Warehouse
• Ensure timely dispatch of finished bags
• Communicate urgent requirements to relevant parties
• Process stock orders and book deliveries
7. Company Policies and Compliance
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Stay updated on any changes to policies
• Manage company expenses according to role and responsibilities
8. Miscellaneous
• Identify new sales prospects and open new accounts annually
• Develop business and financial acumen
• Cross support relevant accounts with team members
• Other duties as assigned by the Head of Sales and Marketing
