Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant/Divisional Manager to lead a team of accountants while providing strategic feedback to higher management
This individual will supervise a team and should value a positive work environment.
Preparation of annual financial statements and independent reviews
Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts for the group
Reporting on variances and implementation of cost saving initiatives
Calculating and submission of provisional tax returns
Submission of Income tax returns
Monthly reconciliation and submission of VAT returns
Submission of EMP201 returns
Preparation of annual budgets
Cashflow management and reviewing and authorizing of daily payments for the group
Reviewing of Pastel processing done by clerks
Reconciliation of customers, suppliers and other ledger accounts of monthly management
Corresponding and reporting of monthly management accounts to relevant direciors and implementation of cost
Provide training to clerks where necessary, and attending to questions where necessary
Import statements Commepace, reconciliation of Commspace to accounting records and bank, and calculation of commission payments
Registration of companies for various taxes when applicable
Ensuring that CIPC submissions are up to date
Opening new bank accounts when needed

Qualifications
Relevant finance degree
5+ years of accounting experience, strong leadership skills to motivate a team and enforce accountability. SAICA accreditation would be beneficial.
Ability to sign off on statements and mentor team members
Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in all aspects of financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
Strong sense of responsibility and timely adherence to deadlines under pressure.
