As a core infrastructure team member, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a robust hybrid IT infrastructure. Your work will focus on SQL database support, Azure cloud migration, and ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of both on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration: Maintain servers, storage systems, and networking equipment, develop monitoring strategies, and ensure infrastructure security and compliance.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and perform regular testing.
Ensure backup, recovery, and replicating infrastructure are performing optimally.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
SQL Database Support: Install, configure, and maintain SQL databases, optimise performance, troubleshoot, and implement database security measures.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and updating statistics.
Cloud Services: Lead Azure cloud infrastructure deployments and migrations, optimize for performance and cost, and guide best practices for Azure services.
Optimize Azure resources and services for performance, cost, and security.
Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to improve business operations.

Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
15 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a related role, including substantial experience with SQL database administration and cloud.
Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
SQL database certifications such as Azure Database Administrator Associate.
Certification in Microsoft Technologies (MCSE \ MCDBA).
Windows OS and networking protocols expertise.
Proficiency in virtualisation (VMware), backup technologies (Veeam), SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server), and Azure & Microsoft 365 cloud platforms.
Strong scripting skills, particularly with PowerShell.
