A great career opportunity exists within the Technology Services division for an experienced Senior Project Manager (Information Technology). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, followed by a successful transition into project management. The role will ideally be based in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution: Develop project plans, lead teams to meet deadlines, and track progress. Ensure projects stay within budget and take corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and teams. Communicate project updates and manage expectations.
Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently and resolve conflicts during project execution.
Risk Management: Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project.
Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Budget Management: Manage project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate teams, conduct performance evaluations, and encourage collaboration.
Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements and conduct post-project reviews for future enhancements.

Proven experience in project management, particularly with software development projects and stakeholder management.
Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with budget management, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
Ability to handle complex projects with multiple stakeholders and team members.

Minimum Requirement
IT Degree or Diploma
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or another recognized project management certification
5 to 8 years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 5 years focused on software development.
