A Construction company based in Pretoria and operating throughout South Africa is looking for suitably qualified Specialist Industrial Concrete/Epoxy Flooring Foreman and must have a sound knowledge of high spec floors particularly super flat floors for the industrial and Sports industry.

SPECIALIST INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE/EPOXY FLOORING FOREMAN

Description:

• Assumes responsibility for the Management and integration of all physical construction activities on site pertaining to Specialist Industrial Concrete/Epoxy Flooring.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with allocated resources.
• Concrete expert including Concrete Technology
• Work with Dumpy level & advanced level of survey with a theodolite and user a precision laser.
• Have a sound knowledge of earthworks and Platforms.
• A very strong eye to detail and specifications pertaining to the construction of precision floors.
• Finishing on super flat floor to a specification of 1 mm over 3 meters.
• Must be able to handle large pours and the pressure that goes with it
• Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to subordinates.
• Be able to control precision cutting of floors
• Must be able to run a small concrete plant when ready mix is not available.
• Must know concrete mix designs, this is extremely important.
• Ensure safety compliances as per OSH Act and promote safe working practices as well as maintaining the safety file.
• Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
• Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
• Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
• Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
• Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site

Skills, Experience & Education:

• Relevant Construction Qualification/Trade with +/-15 of experience in Civil Concrete Structures and/or Specialist Industrial Concrete/Epoxy Flooring, out of which the last 3 - 5 years should have Functioned in the similar capacity of a Civils construction Company.
• Drivers Licence
• Own Vehicle with maintenance plan or use of Company Vehicle
