TECHNICAL TRAINING OFFICER (QUALIFIED DE FITTER)
(RAIL & LOCOMOTIVE INDUSTRY)

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric / N Diploma (Technical)
• DIESEL ELECTRICAL FITTER Qualified Artisan (RED SEAL TRADE TESTED)
• Must be TFR / TRE trained (ESSENTIAL)
• Minimum of 6 years’ working experience as DE Fitter in locomotive industry (ESSENTIAL)
• Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ Training Officer experience within the rail / locomotive industry
• Tertiary Qualification: ETDP SETA Qualification (ESSENTIAL)
• Accredited TRAINING OFFICER- FACILITATOR & ASSESSOR & MODERATOR by the following Institutions: TETA / MERSETA / SSETA / DHET
• Confident in conducting Technical Training for DE Fitters & Apprentices, Trade Tests, Refresher Courses, Brake Novice Courses & various other Technical Training & Development Courses and content
• Confident to conduct & present Awareness Training in: Dangerous Goods by Rail, Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Hazardous Chemicals by Rail, Human Factors & ISO 9001-2015
• Highly experienced on electrical & mechanical aspects on classes of Diesel locomotives
• Highly experienced & knowledgeable on all parts & components on Diesel locomotives
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written)
• Confident to conduct various industry techniques in all Training Programmes
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Must have contactable references with a solid work history
• Medical fitness to perform duties as assigned
• Candidates willing to relocate from another province at their own cost will be considered
