An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Manager at our Acute Rehabilitation Centre. This role will involve overseeing and coordinating the delivery of high-quality therapy services and managing resources within the unit to ensure exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the therapy team to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality therapy services.
• Ensure the competence and ongoing development of staff members.
• Promote customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, conducting quality care rounds, and implementing continuous improvements.
• Identify and mitigate potential safety risks within the unit.
• Effectively manage the unit's financial resources, including equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate the weekly therapy team meetings and actively participate in weekly management and bi-monthly rehabilitation meetings.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with doctors and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
• A relevant health professional qualification (NQF Level 7).
• A postgraduate qualification in Management or a relevant Master's Degree would be an advantage.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a therapist.
• Compulsory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3-5 yrs Clinical therapy expertise in an acute hospital setting.
• Previous experience in managing a therapy unit is preferred.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Skilled in compiling and reviewing clinical reports for medical funders (including admission, progress, and discharge reports).
• Experience in liaising with stakeholders and medical funders is essential.
