In order to be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with toolmaking, including creating and repairing tools, molds, and fixtures to meet production requirements you need to be a Red Seal Qualified Toolmaker / Jig and Dye maker OR have 5+ years’ experience.

This permanent position offers:
• Salary: Basic + pension + medical aid
• Work Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (as needed by production)
• Reporting Structure: Tool Room Foreperson
• Location: Blackheath, Cape Town

In order to be considered, you need to meet the following requirements:
• Matric / Grade 12 – or equivalent
• Qualified Toolmaker / Jig and Dye Maker with Red Seal OR 5 years’ experience in Press tool and dye making in a manufacturing environment (non-negotiable)
• Able to read and design from a drawing
• Working knowledge of milling machine, lathe, hand tools, etc.
• Knowledge of ISO procedures & requirements
• Knowledge of H & S procedures
• Good communication skills
• Accurate
• Detail orientated
• Good attendance record (non-negotiable)
• Able to work over time (when required)
• Medically fit (medicals will be conducted)

You will be required to perform the following duties:
• Manufacture and maintain production tools
• Conduct regular quality checks
• General house-keeping
