We are urgently seeking a qualfied and experienced Web Developer and SQL Data Base Admiistrator for our client based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. This is a 6 month contract to start 1 October 2024.

The purpose of this position is to manage all Web, SQL, EDI, Projects and related areas.

Duties & Responsibilities
System Performance and Reliability: Efficiency of developed websites and systems, performance optimization and troubleshooting web, application, and database servers.
Project and Stakeholder Management: Effective collaboration with stakeholders, documentation quality, and progress reporting to align with project requirements and goals.
Technical and Business Support: Handling technical support tasks, EDI support, and business analysis to improve processes, vendor management and financial transactions.
Develop and maintain internal company websites/systems using C# and the .NET Framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages
Have a strong understanding of OOP (object-oriented principles) Principles
Design and implement database schemas using SQL
Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
Configure and manage web servers, application servers, and database servers
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements
Provide technical support and troubleshoot website and database issues
Handle EDI support, including mapping, testing, and troubleshooting
Manage documentation, including technical manuals, user guides, and process documents
Write reports on project progress, technical issues, and recommendations
Coordinate with vendors for software licenses, purchases, and service agreements
Process vendor payments and Handle invoicing
Perform business analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and solutions

Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum: National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science

Min 4 years of experience in Database administration, Web Development, relevant design experience
