To Whom It May Concern I am extremely interested in joining an innovative, vibrant team. I am currently in my final year of studies at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. I am studying a BSc in Food Science with emphasis on food chemistry, microbiology and food safety standards. My final year project is a New Product Development module with the theme of alternative protein sources. I am very passionate about food and sustainable eating to ensure a better future for our planet. I feel that this degree has not only taught me the science and academic aspect of food, but we also deal with a lot of group work and through this I have learned people skills and how to work efficiently in a group. I believe that I have strong conflict resolution skills and I am hard-working. This course is diverse and through that factor I have learned different problem-solving skills. I have experience in the food industry and as an au pair which can be seen in my CV. I also have experience in ISO 22000 standards as well as drawing up a HACCP plan. I also plan on completing a three day BSI course in November. I have a code B drivers license and my own car. I am fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans. Besides food, my other passion is travelling. I grew up on a farm near the small town of Jansenville, Eastern Cape. I therefore love exploring new cultures and countries because I am not used to it. I am always up for a new challenge and realize that being a student, I have not got a lot of experience under my belt. I do, however, fully believe I will that I am up to the challenge and I know this opportunity will help me grow as a food scientist and as a person. I have spent most of my education career in boarding school and therefore I am not anxious to meet new people and I enjoy spending a lot of time with a diverse group of people. I feel that I will thrive off learning from experienced people in the industry. I am available from December 2019, and would hope for a permanent contract. I hope you will seriously consider my application. Kind Regards Aimee Weyer-Henderson
