I have vast experience in various sectors including communication, marketing, media and journalism, innovation and entrepreneurship, hospitality and tourism, civil society/ngo, large scale event management and the project management sectors. I have a strong track record for implementation and delivery which includes strategy, planning and oversight. My guiding principle is that of alignment of both resources and efforts which involves building relationships at all levels – internally and externally. My latest endeavours are focussed on startup development and mentorship, social entrepreneurship with special attention to renewable energies and the 17 sectors of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs. Highlights: Public Sector - CIO and Chief Project Manager for SA Government under Treasury/Minister Treveor Manuel and created managed Ubuntu Village - the largest parallel event facility for the WSSD - World Summit on Susutainable Development Public Sector - successfully launched and sold the Free ad newspaper concept now known as Junk Mail Community Sector - created and operated the largest educational technology project in Africa I am currently involved in several startups which focus on renewable energy, telecommunication, agriculture, tax and anti corruption.
